The aims of FZY Year Course are achieved through the many experiences that are offered to each participant, such as learning and using hadracha (leadership) skills, working in communities and volunteering for the IDF.
The aims are as follows:

For the chanichim to enhance their knowledge and understanding of their Jewish heritage in order to develop a serious and profound commitment to the Jewish and Zionist values that are core to FZY’s ideology.

For chanichim to have a diverse range of experiences through which they can develop their personal connection to Israel; in particular serious interaction with Israelis, developing Ivrit skills and exposure to Israeli culture.

For all chanichim to develop a strong FZY identity in order that they come back to the movement inspired to further the aims of the movement as active members throughout the year in the areas of activism, education and hadracha.

To provide a sound and supportive environment in which chanichim can develop their character and identity in the context of a dynamic and enjoyable year in Israel.

For the chanichim to develop life skills in order to better prepare them for life after Year Course.
