Shalem is the Orthodox track of FZY Year Course in Israel
The program is divided into three components:
- Community Volunteering - living and volunteering in the town of Bat Yam (south of Tel Aviv), while studying limudei kodesh and taking a Hebrew Ulpan language course
- Jerusalem Studies - formal religious studies and field trips, based in Jerusalem.
- Israel Experience - living and volunteering in communities across the country; participants have over 20 opportunities to choose from.
These three components come together as a collective whole to provide you with a dynamic and "complete" programme. Through living the principals of limmud (learning) and maaseh (action), you will gain a tremendous knowledge of and appreciation for Torat Yisrael, Eretz Yisrael, Medinat Yisrael, and Am Yisrael.
